Never heard of Restaurant Week? It's a brilliant two-week affair during which hundreds of Los Angeles' restaurants offer prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner. Worried you can't afford it? Worry no longer, dear foodie. The menus are tiered in three levels with options for everyone:
- Deluxe Dining: $16 lunch/$26 dinner
- Premier Dining: $22 lunch/$34 dinner
- Fine Dining: $28 lunch/$44 dinner
Still not convinced? DineLA's participating restaurants range from L.A.'s culinary cream of the crop – think Craft, Drago Centro and Rivera, just to name a few – to more casual chain restaurants like Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and Daily Grill. This is your chance to try out the restaurants that have always been on your "wish list."
In Fall 2009, during DineLA's most recent Restaurant Week, my husband, myself and friends enjoyed meals across the culinary spectrum at Crustacean, The Foundry on Melrose, Akasha, Mako and The Farm of Beverly Hills. It was an opportunity we would have missed had we not been able to take advantage of Restaurant Week's menus.
